My name is Benny, I’m an accountant living in Southern California. Like all aspiring bloggers, I wanted to start my own blog, hoping to make some quick income on the side. However, I learned that just creating a blog isn't enough if there isn’t any content on it. I started two blogs and had nothing on them because I didn't put the time or had a plan, to begin with. But this time is different, the third time's the charm. Realizing that I’m the kind of person who is all over the place, I knew I could not just focus on one niche. This blog combines three things I enjoy: personal growth, financial independence, and gaming.
The idea of Player One Finance occurred when one day I looked up “personal finance and gaming” and I found an article by Tightwood Gamer titled Pursuing Financial Independence as a Gamer. And like that the idea sparked! But this time, I wanted to make sure I had a plan.
In our lives, we are all the main characters in our stories. The hope for this blog is that each Player becomes the best version of themselves personally and financially. That we help each other level up, regardless of where we start our journey, the setbacks and struggles, or the different paths we will take to reach our goals.
